Three and a half chilli rated

We were the only non-Vietnamese in this place. They didn't have a menu and it took a while to communicate what we wanted to eat. Thankfully, the (non hue style) dish arrived and was good. We almost felt that it should be better considering the authenticity of the place.

Good for: The real deal, all Vietnamese customers.
Bad for: Smoky, seems compulsive to smoke while eating here.

Gravatar of meemaleeHey Darren, if you're south of the river you must try Hong Van on Lee High Road. Their pho and bun bo hue is lovely, though you have to ask for herbs or they assume you won't want them. It's a lovely place, cheap as anything and they always look really startled when you come in - I think they don't realise that they're a restaurant :-)
