Umbraco, Microsoft and Me: Swag

Tags: Microsoft , Windows 7 , cellular telephone , Technology Internet

In the first Umbraco, Microsoft and me blog post I promised Swag, so time to deliver.

As part of our commitment to the project we promised to deliver video diaries detailing our experiences of the project. Although this could possibly be the most boring 6 minutes of your life, watching my video diary could win you a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.

Simply leave a comment below with the answer to the following question: What kind of ring tone does my mobile phone have?

Winner randomly selected from correct entries :)

    Gravatar of Chris HoustonHi Darren,
Sounds like an interesting project. Are you looking at any sort of integration with Expression Media? (used to be a http://www.iview-multimedia.com/)

I've used it for years for cataloging my photos as have thousands of other photographers as it was the best too out there for a long time.

I am sure tight integration with Expression Media would be of great benefit to a lot of users who now use it.

    Cheers,

    Chris

  12. Darren Ferguson says:

Gravatar of Sebastiaan JanssenThis sounds great! I'm actually working on a new package that will extract EXIF information from/save EXIF info to images in the media section. Can't wait to be able to plug it into the new section as well.

    Good luck!

  18. Simon Dingley says:

Gravatar of Simon DingleyThe project sounds like a great step forward for Umbraco in a much needed area of the CMS that doesn't seem to get a lot of attention.

  19. Ed Marden says:

Gravatar of Ed MardenGreat to hear that someone is working on this, as it's my least favourite part of the Umbraco experience.

I was a little unclear as to whether any client side resizing would be possible using the technologies you are using, but that would be fantastic!
