Umbraco, Microsoft and Me: Update and more swag

Tags: Microsoft , Windows Vista ultimate , Technology Internet
Author: Darren Ferguson

The video diary below is an update on the Microsoft/Umbraco project I'm taking part in.

I keep on referring to Windows Vista ultimate in the video diary instead of windows 7 ultimate - I'd only had one beer - apologies.

If you can spare the time to watch this then there is more swag available. This time the prize is a copy of this book. To enter watch the video and leave a blog comment answering the following question: Which product that is part of website spark seems to have impressed me most?

Winner randomly selected from correct entries :)

The last winner is also announced in the video

Gravatar of Lee KelleherFair play for persisting with the video diaries, the fear of being alone with a camera is enough to scare me off! haha

I wasn't aware of Microsoft Expression Encoder, (even though I signed up to the WebsiteSpark program), I'd put Expression down to a 'designer'-type app, with no further research.

I'll have to take a look, since I want to do some screencasts of my various Umbraco packages!

    Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work and look forward to actually seeing the media package.

Gravatar of Simon DingleyGood to see someone speaking honestly about their views rather than taking a biased Microsoft viewpoint just because you are working with them. I will have to check out the Microsoft Expression Encoder though as I had not heard of it either.

  5. Dave White says:

Gravatar of Dave WhiteIt was MS Encoder, and interesting I had also completely overlooked it, somply because I figured it does what it says on the tin. Guess I was a bit wrong there, and will have to give it another shot.

  6. Neil Campbell says:

Gravatar of Neil CampbellMicrosoft Expression Encoder sounds very interesting.

I was looking for a product exactly like this the other day. Like you said I dont really need to fine tune the video output, I just need something that would look good on the web and is quick and easy.

Looking forward to seeing the media package, and how you have chosen to build it.
